To find your greatness sometimes you need to step out of your own skin, take a step out of what you have become and step into what you will become. Take caution and don’t let the ego get in your way and push fear aside.

You need to step out of your comfort zone. How else can you find the greatness that lies within you? Take time with yourself and do an internal self-evaluation…wake up the hunger to grow and discover… wake up the child within you..the one that saw a world of possibilities because that world is waiting for you.

There is an old riddle that brings this to light: Five frogs were sitting on a log. Four decided to jump off. How many were left? Answer: Five. Why? Because there’s a difference between deciding and doing.

Think about that one for awhile and see if it pertains to you. If it does, there’s still time to get going and start making great things happen.

Imagination is the ability to form a mental image of something that is not perceived through the senses. It is the ability of the mind to built mental scenes, objects or events that do not exist, are not present or have happened in the past.

It allows you to look at any situation from a different point of view.

This is a great power that can change your whole life. It is the creator of circumstances and events.

What we imagine with faith and feelings comes into being. It is the power beyond creative visualization, positive thinking and affirmations.

It just seems that most people have a tendency towards negative thinking. They expect the worst out of life and when things go wrong it is truly a self fullfilling prophecy of their own imaginations.

Understanding how to use your imagination in a postive way will put you on the golden path to success, satisfaction and happiness.

I have the privilege of mentoring over 2,300 partners in the mortgage industry across the U.S. and Puerto Rico. I would like to share a sweet victory of one of my partners in Louisiana. She did an outstanding job!

This is her version as she retold her experience as she journeyed with her client in assisting her into home ownership:

“Closed June 29, 2007

I had a client that called me all the time. I had to hold her hand throughout the whole process.

I learned a lot during this transaction. The client had good scores but not enough money, so I found a product that gave her more purchasing power and with her good rates and her Realtor getting the seller to give our client 3% seller concession, the loan was on its way to closing.

First I learned how the asset vs the liabilities need to work. At first the liabilities were more until I studied the 1003 and went back to my client to see if she had any stock, bonds, 401k, insurance with cash value or real estate, finally it paid off, she had 401K’s and Cd’s which brought her assets up higher than her liabilities and it worked.

Then I learned how to get an elevation certificate because the property was in a flood zone area.

Next I learned about Mortgage Insurance. It could make or break your deal if it’s too high. And I had to assist in my client finding hazardous insurance that would keep her note in the price range she needed to be at.

Well we thought that we were in a comfort zone but learned that the lender decided to get the appraisal review and it was too close for comfort. The house listed for $85000 but only appraise for $77.000. This was a difference of $8,000. The lenders agreed with the appraisal and this was one of the happiest days of my clients life for her not was better and her closing cost was less.

Sometimes people define us by what we do…so, defining who you are is a very personal question. Others define us by what we own and what we know. What part of ourselves that we decide to share with others creates a defining moment…an impression of who you are.

Everyday we choose who we are by the way we define ourselves, we define ourselves through the roles we play. We define ourselves through cultural traditions. We define ourselves through our beliefs about life.

I create, so I am a creator.
I teach, so I am a teacher.
I do, so I am.
