Catch The Butterfly
Do you know that everyone is focused at any one time? Perhaps many would like to believe that they are multi-taskers when in fact they are doing one thing at a time. Sure you can walk, be on the phone and hold your cup of coffee… but your mind will latch on to one thought at a time.
It’s like looking at your computer screen, while you’re looking at it, everything else goes out of focus, because you are giving attention at the screen. That which you focus on grows, this is the basic core of what most refer to the law of attraction. If you’re too busy looking at your ‘problems’ (which I normally like to call challenges), then you don’t have much time to see the solutions even if they were in front of you.
What you focus on grows.
Scattered thoughts don’t allow you to move forward very fast, they’re like having sticks thrown at your feet. If you have a gazillion thoughts running through your mind at one time and would like to begin experiencing clarity, an exercise that I find handy is what I call: Catch the butterfly. See yourself in the pool of thoughts in your head walking around with a butterfly net, catch a thought and see how long you can hold it. The longer you hold it the clearer it will become because now you can look in the net and inspect it. When you’re done let it go and watch it flutter away.
Don’t be surprised if you find yourself more peaceful and pleasant to be around with.
Daisy Says: Begin to experience the power of one thought.

“The word pay in ‘pay attention’ is quite apt. As consciousness beings, attention is our most precious commodity. Attention is a piece of our consciousness, a slice of our human life.” (Richard Brodie)
