What a better day than today to bring this topic up…….. ooh Let’s Make Love

Ever wonder—– why was it not: let’s Do Love.. or let’s Have Love

no no.. it’s Let’s Make Love.

Does that imply that we create it out of the ethers? Does it mean that LOVE just is and we make a conscious decision to make it (manifest it) in the moment. Making Love, Love Making.

mmm

Totally fascinating isn’t it?!

Let’s make Love.. implies work, so does it mean that fantastic Love is one that you work at?

~~OH! get your mind out of the gutter! You thought I was talking about THAT kind of love making.

Daisy Says: oooh. Let’s MAKE love.

To Build a Skyscraper

No skyscraper has ever been built by one person. It takes teamwork, people from every walk of life and varying experience levels coming together and working together.

• No steel mill worker = no steel = no building.
• No glassmaker = no windows = no building.
• No makers of carpet, tile, marble, lumber, air-conditioning, drywall,
concrete, paint, shingles, plumbing fixtures, electrical wiring, tar
paper, drywall compound, elevators, mortar, bricks, paint brush,
doors, crown molding, wallpaper, nails, screws, lights, cabinets, etc.

= no skyscraper.

You ARE the skyscraper.

When you first hear about personal development, some people tend to want to start working on body, mind and spirit all at once and what they end up doing is burning out pretty fast.

Every magnificent skyscraper has a strong foundation. How is your foundation? Do you have a solid base or are you building on sand? How do you handle the setbacks in your life, how do you deal with negative peoples and environments? Do you allow the stiff winds to erode at your structure?

A strong foundation helps you build space and discipline. Space is needed to allow for great things in your life, it is important to rid of old negative habits, fears and thought patterns in order to allow for new invigorating ideas and energy.

The second part is discipline. Discipline is when you train yourself to produce a specific character or pattern of behavior, it is about consciously making the choice that is most in alignment with who you are in any given moment. Discipline requires you to know your Self.

Some people may feel threatened when you make a passionate push to ‘grow’, they will complain and criticize you – just understand that it is their fears that makes them react that way and as you grow, some will come to appreciate your transformation.

Daisy Says: Build your Self through your daily experiences, evaluate your thoughts and actions and soon your skyscraping Self will be touching the stars!

Develop A Plan

We are down to the last three months of the year, and it seems like yesterday we were in hopeful expectations of what the new year would bring us. It is not too late to dig out those resolutions (or goal sheet) and get back on track. It’s as simple as developing a plan.

Ask yourself what are some of the things you are satisfied most with your life, and what areas you feel need work? For your plan to work, you have to first work your plan. You need to recgonize a need to make adjustments. Here are some simple steps to help you start finding developing your end of year plan:

1. Choose 1 area that you are dissatisfied with and would like to see some immediate improvement in. Take a couple minutes and write down in detail what balance would look like for you in that area.

2. Now, get out your planner and make a note to yourself one week from today. In the note, write down:
a. the area that you want to improve your level of satisfaction in
b. 2 things you are going to do to move yourself towards that goal over this next week
c. tell someone about your goal and ask them to hold you accountable-whether it’s a friend or family member. It’s easy to make promises to yourself, but they take on a different dimention when you’ve shared them with others.
d. after the week is up talk with your friend/family and discuss your goal- did you reach your goal? If not, talk about what kept you from reaching it and what will you do differently this next week. If you reached your goal, congratulate yourself. Do something simple to
celebrate your achievement.

3. The final step – repeat. This is a simple bite size process to discipline yourself in creating positive habits in developing your plan and implementing it as well.

Creating life balance is never easy and it’s never complete. There will always be room for improvement. The point is that you can make your life more balanced by taking small steps in the right direction.

Do you feel that you have been on track this year and have met most of your goals? If not, what’s that one thing that you feel you neglected and what is that one thing you can do today to get you on track?

Daisy Says: Goals setting: Plan, Execute, Repeat.

Car Salesmen

There is one thing that I dread more than a dentist chair, going to a car dealer. For some time now we’ve been thinking of getting another car that we can pass over to our teenage son. Once the idea was agreed upon George went on an internet shopping spree to find the best mileage and car value.

Before I met George, I thought that a car was something you bought and kept for a very long time. I had my Jaguar for 8 years.. and then I met George who treats cars like if they were shoes. Let’s see: 3 Lincolns, 2 BMW’s, Jeep, King Ranch, Ford Taurus, Grand Am, Nissan Truck, 2 Mercedez. So when it comes to ‘dealing’ with car salesmen I would say George is very qualified.

I must say that so far the best experience I had at a car dealer came from the Mercedez dealership, they made they buying experience painless and pleasant. Most of it was done over the phone all I had to do was show up, sign and drive away.

Then I got to thinking about the whole car salesmen thing. Do you have to work for a top car brand to give people top service? The best training in salesmanship are learned by working as a car salesman plus as a career it pays big money. Like in most careers, these two benefits won’t come without paying your dues.

The sad thing for these salespeople is that they never put in the effort required to be successful enough to reap the benefits. They never look at the job as a career. Instead of taking advantage of the money they could be making by properly learning the skills of the job, they do just enough to hold on until their ready to move on. (Which could be said of many people in their current jobs… they only do enough to hang on).

Here is a great site for people in car sales: http://www.carsalesmansguide.com/

Now I can’t sign off without talking about Quan Loc, the salesman at the Orlando Hyundai; as the front line of the sales process he was very personable and informative. He had all his paper work lined up and his team ready which made the 90 minute experience light and airy. Then I got to thinking as I was watching three other salesmen huddling by a table.. what do car salesmen do when there are no customers?

FOR INSIDER’S TIP http://beatthecarsalesman.com/secrets.html:
If your car salesman likes you, then you’re more likely to get the good car-buying deal and service that you want. (That’s just a fact of human nature.) So be nice and friendly to your salesman. It pays to treat him with respect.

What was the worst car dealer experience you had?

Daisy Says: Don’t ever be rushed into anything.
