People Will Let You Down, Love anyway

Just one of those days. You know they are out there, you just don’t know which day it’s going to come at you. Mentally you prepare for them and hope you get through it.

Today was one of those days, where someone close was given the chance to show their colors and they did. Yes, to my disappointment they did.

You ever offer someone a chance to be a part of your world and hope that together you can make a difference? Hope that through the journey you get to grow the friendship and develop greater things together? You open your heart and give all you have, only to have them take their fill and walk away leaving you with empty words like: ‘no hard feelings’.

Wow.

That happened to me today.

All day, the thought of the experience lingered in the back of my mind. I really wanted to believe in the good of certain people. Yes, I would say the thought has had time to bake. Without going into details I’m sure many of you have had similar experience with someone you allowed close into your life.

You have a couple choices, the first would be to go all dark and let them have it. The other would be to Love despite the event. To forgive and move on allows you to extract the lesson from the experience and to move through it. I choose to forgive and learn.

Just when you think life couldn’t get any sweeter, make you more wiser and teach you how to love deeper — then comes the gift of motherhood.

No words can describe the gamut of emotions one experiences as a mother.

To love someone so tenderly.
To always see the baby face even when he or she is grown.

To remember the first baby step and the sound of his or her first word.

To feel the warm little body as he or she falls asleep in your arms.

…and as the years go by you can only love them more for the gift of life they’ve added within your life.
