With now 3 generations that compete in the market place ranging from age 16 to 70, it just seems that everyone is pecking at each other instead of genuinely working with each other. Our wholesome values …have they disappeared with our great grandparents? God, Family and Country.

Did it ever occur to you? Divided we fall.

Tear a country apart and screw with the psyche of its peoples foundation.

Break them from their Faith – (Take God away from the pledge of allegiance, away from the currency;

Take their kids from their homes and send them out at age 18 because they are adults (who said you can’t keep your kids at home til their good and ready to fend for themselves? teach them to be Family and Unite? No! its not economically sound! Separate the family and now you have more economic contribution! Another tax paying bundle!;

…and finally tear at the country that nourishes you, …that’s right, keep fighting with each other about what you think you are entitled to… Opportunity no longer seems to be enough.

He grew up in a time,
When a third-grade education,
Was all the school you needed,
To work the family farm.
He’d take time off on Sunday,
Him and all his family,
warm a pew,
And give thanks to the Lord.

There was no gray, only black and white.
Didn’t need no-one to tell him,
What was wrong or right.
‘Cause he had God, Family, and Country.

He set aside his plow,
In early 1940,
Said goodbye to his small town,
And put on the Army green.
Hard Times on the front lines,
Writin’ letters on wet paper,
Not one word about the awful things he’d seen.

His was a generation,
That answered without question.
They knew they had to win,
‘Cause they were fightin’ for…
God, Family, and Country.

On the coffee table,
Sits the family Bible,
Where just last year he added,
A little boy to the family tree.

There’s the folded flag they gave us,
On the day he left us.
But the thing that I remember most,
Is the way that he…

Believed…

In God, Family, and Country

(lyrics by Craig Morgan)

What do you believe in?

Daisy Says: When a group of people share the same beliefs they can rise to any challenge.

Living the Law of Honor

Honor is the seed of access.

To honor another person is to access their love and wisdom.

Your reaction and action reveals your Code of Honor. The proof of Honor is seen in different ways such as your care to your elders or your obedience to your boss.

We can use honor in two different ways: We can speak of a person’s honor and we can talk about giving honor to another person. A person’s honor is his integrity. Giving honor, can be interpreted as your value in your relationship with them. It can be shown in a variety of ways, such as being yielding to them and being respectful.

Honor is a noble virtue. Create in honor what you lack in knowledge and experience. Some would even say that our honor is due mostly not to whom we are as a person, but to our status that we command in public, or upon whom we represent (an organization or institution); it would be safe to say that there are two facets of honor, one is the personal, (for which recognition is not always forthcoming) and the other is representational, (for which honor is always present).

Daisy Says: Honor someone for their achievements and their strengths.

Into the Future

future

Many people are afraid of the future. The uncertainty. The unknown. Fear of the unknown future.

There was a time when building the future was inspirational. Whatever Happened to the World of Tomorrow? Ambitious. Romantic. Even ennobling.

What ever happened to old-fashioned hope based in the determination to keep on believing in the future, no matter what?

Into the future is about reaching for the stars despite the hardships of the past and the present. As Robert Browning once wrote, “Ah, but a man’s reach should exceed his grasp. Or what’s a heaven for?”

It is the unraveling of faith lost and faith restored—something that we need more of every day.

Come with me into the future… beautiful, fresh all pristine for our creation.

Daisy Says: Accept the need for a hope in the future, even its probability of happening.

The words you speak can have a profound effect on the people you reach. You can elevate a situation or bring it crashing down real quick.

Effective communicators make it a point to master the use of words and purposefully use to to promote themselves.

Take any product, be it a book, a chair, or a toy. Look at how the product is promoted. Are powerful words used? You better believe it!! 99 percent of the time, you will find that positive word power are used to build up an image.

Those images creates emotions which then move the one listen into action.

Whether within our own thoughts, spoken or written, words have the power to transform the world we live in.

Love, laughter, fear, anger and virtually every emotion we feel as human beings can be inspired or invoked by words.

There are some words that are hardly noticed and others that stand out. Knowing how and when to use these words can give you an advantage in the direction of conversations.

Take a basic need and find words which trigger the need within the person you are talking with. For example, you can use:

* Safety-oriented words: guaranteed, safe, secure, sound, healthy, strong.
* Greed-oriented words: cash, deserve, money, more, free.
* Control-oriented words: easy, quick, discover, proven, best, grab.
* Belonging/Identity-oriented words: you, love, good, approved, favorite, new.
* Trust-oriented words: certain, good, proven, real, right, scientific, sure, truth.

Notice how these are all positive words, as they aim to invoke good feelings.

You can also leverage negative emotions to scare people into action.

The power effect of the words you use depend on the context within which you use them. ‘Profit’ is very likely to be a good word in most companies, yet in the nonprofit sector it may very well be a negative word.

Craft your speech with care and you will be on your way to becoming a persuasive communicator!

Daisy Says: Choose to use your words to encourage and uplift.
