Let’s savor the freedoms we so much enjoy…
now we must be weary that we may be our worst enemy to endorse over regulation and become prisoners of our own doing.

Pray that ‘WE THE PEOPLE’ have the common sense and integrity to HONOR each other.

Heartfelt expression of GRATITUDE to all those that have served our great country.

Whether our American soldiers are in the home land or front lines we all must be vigilant of the valor in their hearts, despite that some may never see battle – it is the ever constant knowing that they MAY have to that creates the suspense of their position. That they have freely chosen to serve and protect our country.

It is the FREEDOM of choosing that they fight for and those same freedoms that we American civilians enjoy.

ps: Call me old fashion, I would love to hear more of our American radio stations honor our national anthem at high noon. There is nothing wrong with a little American Pride.

interesting to go back to that dreadful morning and recall the empty and dismay of what I was witnessing on television. An attack on America.

Many peoples lives were changed on that dreadful morning, yet America is valiant and brave as it attempts to maintain the freedoms that so many people come to her to seek and enjoy.

My prayers to all the families who have been short changed their earth plane journey with their loved ones.

One of the precepts in America is: Innocent until proven guilty.

Eleven years of police work in Florida has left trails of policing experience embedded in me. Enough to understand that surrounding circumstances can change an innocent story into a criminal act.

Take for example someone strolling through a residential street with a screwdriver in their back pocket.
Innocent right?

That same scenery (irrelevant of race and gender), strolling through a residential street at 3:00 am takes on a whole different meaning; considering that screwdrivers have been used to break into cars and homes.

Imagine the day that a police officer can not stop someone to question what appears to be suspicious acts? Then we don’t need them. Just let them sit at the donut shops or at the police stations taking reports!!

Shame on you President Obama! You have a job to do and we expect you to do it in an impartial way.
Police Officers have a job to do also: to PROTECT AND SERVE. I’m sure if someone were breaking into his home…it would be a different story. Oh I forgot…he has the secret service (and we don’t).

I agree with James Preston’s comment (president of the Fraternal Order of Police Florida State Lodge): “By reducing all contact between law enforcement and the public to the color of their skin or ethnicity is, in fact, counterproductive to improving relationships,” Preston said. “To make such an offhanded comment about a subject without benefit of the facts, in such a public forum, hurts police/community relations and is a setback to all of the years of progress.”

Some people just enjoy listening to themselves, and to me (at this time) it appears that with the passing days of his election President Obama is enjoying listening to himself speak or he is being ballyhooed by talking heads– ergo: The Emperor’s New Clothes.

Daisy Says: Knowing when to speak is a great sign of leadership.

Headed out of San Francisco leaving behind a cold 55 degree, damp foggy afternoon. Pointing our car south we enjoyed a sweet ride on the scenic Pacific Coast Highway 1.

Beautiful ocean view. I can see why many fall in love with this colorful state.
If I were to live here, I could definitely see me turning into a surfer girl. The ocean views and waves are AMAZING!

As we headed south the temperature warmed up somewhere up to the mid 70’s in Santa Cruz; the clouds ripped away revealing wonderful blue skies. As evening set in on our journey a few more miles south and the skies became cloudy. We veered off exit Munras Street in Monterey, California to locate lodging for the night.

After taking an evening walk, I can see why this quaint quiet town would attract writers and poets. I sensed a peaceful ancient mariners energy as I waked the enchanting streets. Above picture is of brass inlay markers that proudly decorated the sidewalk.
