Halloween 2009

Life is so tender. Each minute …. a treasure.

Halloween 2009 …and I look back fondly at the pictures.

My little Geordan is not so little… we didn’t even carve a pumpkin this year.

Halloween 2009

We had a delightful weekend with Zach who came to spend the Halloween with us; he grew up too! I remember previous Halloweens Zach would come over with his dad Lee and we’d all pile in the car — drive to a pumpkin patch and have the boys pick a pumpkin each.. then we’d carve it with the boys.

This year Zach was so sweet to come up to central Florida and spend it with us… I had prior plans to do some community work up at Lake Mary with Rosezetta — we had already registered a booth to give out candies at their annual Spooktakular event. We had over 700 kids stop by our booth…right up to the last minute… we were able to give out all our treats!

Rosezetta and I decided to celebrate our Goodwill and stopped at Chilis for a little R&R …we thought the patrons would enjoy us in our costumes and it was quite delightful laughing and smiling with total strangers.

While at the home front Geordan was having a blast with his friends, this year he had his friends come over he had a party of his own.

Any one can take a journey into the future quite simply by analyzing the choices they made today.

When you’re passionate about the things you do, life turns into a song. No challenge is insurmountable, obstacles become simply things you need to figure out to get to your destination.

…and what is that destination? The destination doesn’t matter when the Why is very clear.

It doesn’t matter if you run a night club or a hair salon or even drive a taxi – the most important thing is to love what you do and the why will reveal itself.

I find that the doing is not as important as the why of what I’m doing. I have also concluded that the why of what I do always takes me to the same destination: people.

People…
people to love through my stories, my goodwill, people to serve, and people to share my life with.

My destination today takes me to serenity – Happy Labor Day.

Daisy Says: Destination becomes the being and the doing and life is simply the song.

If I had my dad right here, right now… I’d give him the biggest hug and shower him with kisses!

I love my dad.

I love him for his strength, and I love him for his weakness.

I love him for his passion and I love him for his courage.

I love the soft side of him and I love the adventurer in him.

As I grow older I can’t help but to love him even more.
