Whether we like it or not… we are destined to play the relationship mind game. Some of us fall prey to the game and others have become masters at it.

What is yet most amusing is that this game is being played every day and we are playing it whether we are aware of it or not. In this game we also (in most cases subconsciously) choose our partner partially based upon their abilities and skill at playing the games we know how to play.

“Flirting” can be placed in this category as one of the mind games we play, for the most part it is fun and satisfying and does no harm.

I don’t claim to be an expert of mind games and would not like to play any game where someone could get hurt, yet I do believe that one should be aware of the games that people do play because one could so easily get caught in the middle of a full blown game. Keep your eyes on the end zone and go for a touch down!

If you are going to play… try and learn the rules, tread with caution, give your opponent a few passes and always go for the home run!

There is such great healing in the simple act of giving thanks.

When we begin to develop the habit to be aware of all that we can be grateful for the obstacles and challenges begin to appear meaningless in respect to the scope of the bounty of Life that we have before us.

Each one of us was given the same gift – 86,400 seconds in the day… how many of those seconds do you use to say “thank you”? Use a few of those seconds to reflect with a sense of appreciation on meaningful experiences you had during the day. You will be surprised at how many things we can find that are pleasing to us if we just take a moment to think about them.

As for myself, I am always grateful for the opportunity to serve.

One way that I love kicking off the fall season is by spending the day at a corn maze. I was so delighted to discover Long and Scott’s Farm up in Zellwood Florida; since 2003 they’ve been putting together a wonderful ‘maize’ maze adventure!

It was really fun to introduce my friends to the joy of walking through a corn maze.

A maze is like a puzzle to be solved. It has twists, turns, and blind alleys. Just like life… it has twists turns and blind alleys. Sometimes you get lost and other times being lost does not feel like being lost and before you know it… you begin to enjoy your surroundings and your journey.

With a maze — many choices must be made; an active mind is needed to solve the problem of finding the center. You’ll have many paths to choose from, some with many entrances and exits. You’ll run into dead ends which will offer you riddles to be solved.

Mazes challenge the choice-making part of ourselves. In life we are presented with many choices… usually the choice of action or in-action. We must have an active mind to solve the issues as they arise. On occasion things don’t go our way and we must look at the circumstances and find alternate ways to reach our objective.

Common features in most mazes are trick corners and blind alleys. In all mazes – the object is to find your way through the elaborately twisted paths to reach a specific goal. Life is full of challenges, yet it is upon us to maintain our focus and persevere towards our goal.

“Your life is a sacred journey. And it is about change, growth, discovery, movement, transformation, continuously expanding your vision of what is possible, stretching your soul, learning to see clearly and deeply, listening to your intuition, taking courageous challenges at every step along the way. You are on the path… exactly where you are meant to be right now… And from here, you can only go forward, shaping your life story into a magnificent tale of triumph, of healing of courage, of beauty, of wisdom, of power, of dignity, and of love.” Caroline Adams

Daisy Says: Begin your sacred journey today.

We had a delightful weekend with Zach who came to spend the Halloween with us; he grew up too! I remember previous Halloweens Zach would come over with his dad Lee and we’d all pile in the car — drive to a pumpkin patch and have the boys pick a pumpkin each.. then we’d carve it with the boys.

This year Zach was so sweet to come up to central Florida and spend it with us… I had prior plans to do some community work up at Lake Mary with Rosezetta — we had already registered a booth to give out candies at their annual Spooktakular event. We had over 700 kids stop by our booth…right up to the last minute… we were able to give out all our treats!

Rosezetta and I decided to celebrate our Goodwill and stopped at Chilis for a little R&R …we thought the patrons would enjoy us in our costumes and it was quite delightful laughing and smiling with total strangers.

While at the home front Geordan was having a blast with his friends, this year he had his friends come over he had a party of his own.

Daisy Says: Treasure every minute for the dynamic eternity in it; that eternity is the memory that will for ever remain in your mind and your heart.
