I find a silent connection with the polar bear, so many qualities that I admire such as their ability to navigate along the earth’s magnetic lines , introspection, ability to find sustenance in barren landscapes, purity of spirit, strength in the face of adversity, solitude, expert swimmer through emotional waters, finding ones way back from the brink.

Many times I have journeyed into life moving in one direction or other yet it was through solitude in introspection that I could find my way back to the source of light and guidance.

Polar bears are intelligent and fearless; native tribes throughout history have held the polar as a desirable ally and spirit helper. The white color of the polar bear represents purity of spirit. As this bear is fearless and the universal energy only flows when fear is absent, the polar serves as a valuable ally in getting past fear, both physically and mentally. When our own courage falters we can connect with our animal nature and overcome obstacles beyond our imagination.

To the Eskimo and Inuit peoples this animal is a source of both physical and spiritual nourishment. On a spiritual level, the polar bear is regarded as the embodiment of the spirit of the North, an animal who possesses ancient wisdom and has shamanic powers.

Of the bear family the polar is the most aggressive and carnivorous, yet they are not territorial. They are exceptional hunters. Polar bears weigh up to 1600 lbs and are able to knock a 500lb seal out of the water with one blow. Polar bear attacks are more likely to be predatory and are almost always fatal. They are stealth hunters, and the victim is often unaware of the bear’s presence until the attack is underway. Incredibly strong, they are adaptable which is an excellent survival skill. (Though they are one of the largest land carnivores, they are still capable of great speed on both ice and earth. They are able to swim 100 miles non-stop.)

There have been many instances in my life where I’ve had to adapt to the circumstances and surroundings in order to continue the growth of my soul. To question the journey was not an option, only to adapt and grow secured my survival.

In general, adult polar bears live solitary lives. Yet, they have often been seen playing together for hours at a time and even sleeping in an embrace, adult males have “well-developed friendships.” Cubs are especially playful as well. Among young males in particular, play-fighting may be a means of practicing for serious competition during mating seasons later in life. Polar bears have a wide range of vocalizations, including bellows, roars, growls, chuffs and purrs.

The Polar Bear is one of my mentors through observation of this majestic creature I have learned many lessons and gained much wisdom.

Prior to acting the polar will observe the situation beforehand. They know how exactly how to preserve their energy and strength and use both at the most appropriate time for the best outcome. The art of energy management is a lesson we can all benefit from.

Within the animal kingdom the polar has no enemies. However, they do have but one enemy – the human hunter.

Some of us are inspired by another person’s courage, perhaps it’s because it gives us a glimpse of the same courage in ourselves?

Courage can be explained as knowing that something could be more important than one’s fear.

Some believe that those with courage act because they are not afraid. Yet… the easiest thing is to take action when you are not afraid. At the same time if you hold back and do nothing because you’re afraid, well that’s easy too!

To embrace the fear and take action despite of it, that takes courage!

Sometimes there are circumstances in our lives that test our courage. As if Life were testing us for a promotion and overcoming those challenges would merit moving up to the next level. That next level could be many things: more responsibility, handle more income, intense relationships etc etc.

What we must be willing to do is, embrace the opportunity to overcome the fear; to summon the courage that is naturally in us… because when opportunity comes to test us… it strikes when we least expect it.

This last year has offered me many opportunities to embrace my fears and step forward with courage. Many times I questioned myself if I had the strength to lead people now that they needed me the most. I found the courage to understand that it is in the doing that I will grow the most. The biggest fear for me is to have missed on living the best life for fear of not believing in myself.

Eleanor Roosevelt once said: Courage is more exhilarating than fear and in the long run it is easier. We do not have to become heroes overnight. Just a step at a time, meeting each thing that comes up, seeing it is not as dreadful as it appeared, discovering we have the strength to stare it down.

Imagine a life with no challenge nor obstacles. Pretty boring, you might agree.

I remember the first day I learned to ride a bicycle. It was a beautiful afternoon, summer was almost over. The leaves on the trees were beginning to welcome Autumn.

My dad ushered me onto the bike. Gently he encouraged me to keep my eyes ahead to the horizon and let my feet do the pedaling. It is amazing that years later his wisdom of riding a bike still sticks with me: keep my eyes ahead to the horizon and let my feet do the walking.

He held the seat of the bike and stayed by my side… the handle bars wobbled as I tried to keep straight, attempting to maintain coordination my feet peddled away. All the while my dads soothing voice of encouragement was by my side: “you’re doing great!”

I was so focused in the moment, enjoying the thrill of the experience, the wind gingerly blowing by…the sound of leaves cheering me on that I totally forgot that my father was by my side. For a moment I forgot that I ‘didn’t’ know what I was doing and wanted to tell my dad that I was ‘doing it’: “Papi, I’m doing it!” I shouted with glee.

I quickly glanced over my shoulder thinking I would find my dad there and the astonishment that I had been peddling all by myself startled me so that I lost control and ‘bam!’ I hit the pavement! Ah the memories!

My dad smiling sheepishly started running towards me all the while saying, “Get back up, you can do it!”. Yes, he was right… and I did!

Life is like riding a bike, if you don’t peddle you’ll miss the adventure.

Yes, some days it will be hot and the sun can be unbearable, you may get caught in the middle of a rain shower – but what the heck! That’s what towels are made for… to dry up! You may fall, but that’s okay get yourself back up. Sometimes you may have to stop to adjust the chain, perhaps add some oil to keep the parts running smooth, maybe take a break to look around. But most important, ride your bike. Keep riding.

The promises of the horizon are so beautiful and the journey well worth it, remember… there will be wonderful adventures along the way. My dad always said: “Once you learn how to ride a bike you never forget”.

Creating big results starts with you making a decision to maximize your life.

Creating Big results in your life involves a continuous repetition of small actions.

If you want to see change in your life, IF YOU WANT TO see big results, the first thing you must do is EVALUATE THE WAY YOU DO THINGS.

THE SECOND THING IS MAKE A COMMITMENT TO IMPROVE YOUR LIFE, and THIRD may require you to …change your current actions.

I’m sure you’ve heard this saying: “If you always do what you’ve always done, you’ll always get what you always got!”

TO SEE DIFFERENT RESULTS YOU MUST CHANGE THE WAY YOU DO THINGS.

Most OF US want to accomplish a lot in OUR lives, unfortunately MOST OF US CAN NOT HOLD OUT LONG ENOUGH TO SEE OUR LONG TERM GOALS become reality.

I HAVE A LIST OF the things that MOST PEOPLE believe will create great accomplishments for them:

Your belief system

The visions of your future world

The dreams you hold dear to you

The ideas you create

The depth of your desires

While these may be very important … WE ARE STILL MISSING A BIG PART OF THE FORMULA: It requires a transfer of energy, we need to actually do something!

It is in the DOING where most people meet with resistance.

MOST PEOPLE PLAN and do goal setting BUT THEN FALL SHORT because they fail to take action. Most people fail to take ACTION on their dreams and their beliefs.

Who loses weight? The one who has all the knowledge on diets and understands the benefits of exercise or the one who does an hour of cardio a day?

Who makes the most sales? The one who has all the references on how they can become a great presenter and salesperson, or the one who goes on 5 appointments a day?

IT ALL COMES DOWN TO taking action on our vision, we must ACT upon OUR beliefs and ideals or we won’t see them come to pass.

All that you imagine is possible simply by acting on our own beliefs. YOU THINK YOU CAN SUCCEED? GO AND DO IT. YOU WILL.

Imagine the life you CAN experience, imagine living with the satisfaction THAT YOU gave YOUR LIFE the best shot.

ASK YOURSELF
What is that you want to achieve?
What actions can you do today to move you towards achieving them?
What will you do now to begin making your dreams come true?
What will you do this week to move one step closer to realizing your desires?

YOU CAN LIVE THE BEST LIFE filled with great achievements and results if you begin today to take action and make it a reality!

A word I was pondering on this morning: Continuity.
The more I thought on it, the more I concluded that it is a very powerful word with an intense meaning: ‘An uninterrupted succession or flow; a coherent whole.’

Words have such impact on how we process things and use them to create our future.

Continuity, what does that mean and how does it affect us?

Everything! That is if you want to achieve more in life, whether it be to maintain good health, grow intimate relationships, or make a lot more money. Continuity allows you to create a predictable path.

Continuity in your life and business affairs means creating ways for uninterrupted succession of you moving towards your future.

The concept of continuity is used in the information publishing business, how do they do it? through monthly and annual subscriptions. This is how they ensure continued business.

You may agree with me that there is something to learn here.

What do you subscribe to on a monthly basis to ensure your continued growth?

What do you pay into that helps you stay on that sure path?

How can you take this concept and use it for your own benefit in your daily life to create continuity of your journey?

The take-away here is that continuity between our deepest intimacies of life and our external environment can have a huge role in the manifestation of our dreams.

Daisy Says: Allow the magic of life to flow through you.
